Splendid entertainment – lovely to see it again!
Seen at aged 9 and again at 69 – feel that floor! Brilliant: it used the pain of emotion to make a drama out of what could be drill! A shoo-in!
It brought back happy memories.
Amazing film for that time – only two years after the war. Well worth seeing again 60 years later.
Terrific – a great film in every way.

A bold choice – thanks!
A superb film. Wonderful cinematography. A film well before its time.
Excellent film but I’m afraid I found it rather long.
Wonderful. Beautifully renovated.
Excellent for the genre. The usual gripe about the poor sound but luckily the music made up for it!
Pity the music was too loud; otherwise a good story.

As a spectacle it was superb: the acting was very much of the 1940s.
Elocution did not come over too well but pleasant in every other way.
A beautiful film but so sad! .
They don’t make them like that any more!
Perfect. Long Glorious
A wonderful end to the year.

The next film is The Hurt Locker at Blandford School Hall on January 13th.
