A compelling film, riveting and absolutely brilliant. Best film this season. Beautiful!
Splendid – as near perfect as possible. A very moving film. Brilliant Magnificent Mesmerising. A very moving film. A very powerful film and very moving.
Brilliant - the best film I’ve seen here. Very good ; an excellent story.
Gorgeous sensitive young actresses and film. Topical and very touching.
Superbly crafted. Treated us with intelligence. Excellent cast. Beautiful, sensitive film. Best film so far.
Brilliant – she is superb (and the others). Beautifully acted. Excellent acting – very moving.
Scott Thomas was amazing.
Great film addressing topical subjects such as dementia and mercy killing en passant.
A difficult subject – very moving and beautifully portrayed. Superb! Very good story and beautifully filmed. Brilliant script . Superb structure.
Everything –music- photography all brilliant but the dénouement? Needed less explanations.
Wonderful performances by both the main actresses. Superbly acted. Simply a masterpiece. Superbly acted.
Best film I’ve seen for ages. K-S-T was excellent.
Kirsten Scott Thomas – excellent in French as she is in English.
If that’s not an Oscar winning performance, I don’t know what is! Marvellous.
Superb film. What an actress! (Or are we supposed to say actor now?) It became fairly obvious why she had killed her son but it was all very sensitively done.
No surprises in the story – guessed she had a reason to kill her son, but still very effective.
I won’t look up all Dostoevsky but two real actresses portrayed life’s types of imprisonment.
Please more of these well-acted, beautifully scripted, thought provoking films.
Beautiful, sensitive, admirable in every way – only the French could do it.
Excellent – what more can you say…except more French films like that next season.
Magnifique – pity it was not Barbara singing at the end!
Colour/light beautifully realised; understated, episodic structure was well-paced, enthralling and moving.
Vaut bien le detour! (Subtitle: Well worth the detour).
So very excellent. One of the best films I’ve ever seen. Superb acting. Faultless.
Excellent or even better. The total stillness and silence during the credits showed the audience reverence for a wonderfully moving film.
Thanks – I needed that. Very healing. Intriguing, if not involving.
Best film for a long time. So sad! Wonderful actors. Thank you! Superb 10 out of 10 for this one.
Best yet. Superb. Why can’t there be more films of this high quality?
The next fim will be Paris je t'aime on Thursday 25th, February.
